Although he reflects none of the trauma now, Scorch was orphaned at two weeks by his mother Charming Reference. She not only left a whole in our hearts, but she left this bundle in our care. We grafted him onto another mare, and she raised him as her own.  Thanks to that experience he is a voracious eater and an extremely gentle soul despite being a stallion. Due to his childhood he is unshown, but look for him to be out there soon following in his Reserve World Champion sisters (Perpetual Charmer) hoof prints!

With his first foals Scorch did a great job, we couldn't have been more pleased. With the reduction of our paint mares, he will only have one foal in 2008, but if it's anything like the others, it should be fancy. Check back in April to see what he can do in GOLD.
